After completing his Master of Science in Sustainability Science & Policy Development at the International Centre for Integrated Assessment at Maastricht University (NL), Maximilian Kromer spent three years working in the public sector on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, where he contributed to the implementation of sustainability concepts.

He then worked for three years as a Sustainability Consultant at Scholz & Friends Reputation, where he developed consulting products and processes in line with the new regulatory requirements of the European Union and implemented them in client projects. Additionally, he focused on sustainability communication and strategy development.

Since November 1, 2024, Maximilian Kromer has been serving as the first Head of Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) at DEAG, where he is responsible for the company’s sustainability agenda.
